Concept Statement: Arthur Ashe was such a bold and iconic figure. Our design aims to capture his spirit while being respectful to the dignity, poise and grace that are synonymous with his legacy. We got creative with scale & proportion to reference the immense impact Mr. Ashe has had, not only on his hometown community here in Richmond, but the whole world with his work promoting heart health, sex education, AIDS research, and healthcare advocacy.
